Bubbles the Clown describes one of her most recent, favorite memories at Eastern Market in Detroit, Michigan. Transcription: Hello there my name is Marilyn Jones I am Mrs.Bubbles the clown. I work at the Eastern Market in downtown Detroit. I’ve been here for a tenure of four years. It is so beautiful down here, the people, the atmosphere, is always so wonderful and you know what, I have a special memory. One of my most special memories was last week, I had to do an event at Ford Hospital prior to coming here to the Eastern Market where I’m stationed. And last week I brought my nephew with me, I call him Pinto. He came down here, he had on an operating room gown, a real stethoscope, and he had the real surgical gown on because that was the job I had to do at Henry Ford Hospital. I had to do face painting for all the doctor's and nurse's children. It was bring your child to work day. So we were down there and had hundreds of children with their little surgical uniforms, surgical gowns on, and we had a wonderful time. I had a beautiful time painting the faces but Pinto came down here with me last week and all the customers from the eastern Market were asking him, “Are you a doctor?” He said “yes, I’m Doctor Anthony,” and so they’d put out their arm and say, “Can you take my blood pressure?” And he’d take their blood pressure and say, “You're Okay. You’re Okay. You’re Okay.” And people were just so amazed to seeing him. There are so many beautiful children down here and they are beginning to know and recognize who Mrs. Bubbles the clown is. I do all types of face painting in addition, I also do all types of balloon sculptures. It’s a beautiful day at the Eastern Market. Come down and enjoy yourself. Buy fruits and vegetables that are always sold fresh. The people and the atmosphere is fantastic!
