On May 5, 2010, Mr. Chad Collins, owner of Bone Dry Roofing Company in Atlanta, GA, testified at a House Small Business Committee hearing entitled, "Tax Initiatives and Small Business Growth."

Mr. Collins discussed the poor state of the construction industry, and also detailed the problems his company has encountered in the troubled economy.

During the May 12, 2010, House Small Business Committee hearing on Small Businesses and Broadband: An Engine for Economic Growth and Job Creation. Mr. Tom McDonald, CEO of BeSafe, testified.

In his testimony, Mr. McDonald spoke about the importance of investing in improvements for the expansion of broadband across America.

He urged the Committee to support the growth of small business in America and to consider any additional burdens to small business owners.

On May 12, 2010, Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-MO) delivered his opening statement at the House Small Business Committee hearing entitled, "Small Businesses and Broadband: An Engine for Economic Growth and Job Creation." In his statement, Ranking Member Graves discussed the impact that broadband technology has on the economy and job growth. Mr. Graves also commented on the severe lack of infrastructure in rural America that can prevent many communities, businesses, and families from benefitting from broadband services.
